It has two runways, 13L/31R and 13R/31L, each having an asphalt surface measuring 3,661 by 46 metres (12,011 × 151 ft).[1] Co-located at the airport are currently (2012) two US Patriot Missile Battalions and satellite imagery suggests the future deployment of the Theater High Altitude Air Defense system sold to the UAE in December 2011.[2]

According to satellite imagery and open source reporting, the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing has the KC-10 Extender, the E-3 Sentry, the U-2 Dragon Lady, and the RQ-4A/B platforms deployed to the air base.
