Al Shux is a music producer and songwriter from London, England. He is also credited as Shux.[1]
Shux graduated from the University of Westminster with a B.A. in Commercial Music in 2004.[2] Since then he has worked with Plan B, Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dogg, Tinie Tempah, Paloma Faith, Lana Del Rey, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, and travelled across America as Lily Allen's musical director.[2]
Shux received a Grammy Award in February 2011 for producing and co-writing "Empire State of Mind", which won in the Best Rap Song category.[3][4][5] In July 2011, he signed a worldwide publishing deal with BMG Chrysalis UK.[6]
In 2012 Shux scored the music for Plan B's directorial debut feature film Ill Manors. He also co-wrote and produced the Plan B album Ill Manors, including the singles "Ill Manors" and "Lost My Way".
