Talaba Sport Club (Arabic: نادي الطلبة) is an Iraqi football club based in Baghdad. The word Talaba means Students in the Arabic language. They were runners-up to Japanese club Bellmare Hiratsuka in the 1996 edition of the now defunct Asian Cup Winner's Cup.

The team was founded as (Al-Jameaa) (الجامعة) on 17 December 1969 to represent the University of Baghdad and by special resolution from the Football Association decided that the team participates in the first division (second level) without going through second and third divisions. And in season 1970-71 the team won the first division and qualified to the Iraqi Premier League. However they couldn't stay at the Premier League and took last place and then back to the first division. However in season 1975–1976 they got back to the Premier League and still until now there in 27 December 1977 the name (Al-Jameaa) Changed to Al Talaba and the team won their first league title in season 80-81 and last one of five season 01-02.
