Al-Wazireya is a neighborhood of Baghdad, Iraq.

The neighborhood has a turbulent history. On August 27, 2006 a Vehicle Born Improvised Explosive Devise (VBIED) exploded on the street outside of the Al Sabah newspaper office. It destroyed more than 20 cars, killing two people and wounding as many as 30.
