Alain Vigneault (b. May 14, 1961 in Quebec City, Quebec) is the Canadian head coach of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks and the former head coach of the Montreal Canadiens. He also played in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues. He coached junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Hull Olympiques, Beauport Harfangs, and the Prince Edward Island Rocket. He coached the American Hockey League Manitoba Moose for the 2005-06 season, leading the Moose to a 102 point season and 3rd place finish in the North Division and reaching the North Division Finals.

On June 20, 2006, Vigneault was hired to replace Marc Crawford as the Vancouver Canucks' head coach. In his first season in Vancouver, he set a franchise record for wins in a single season (49), eclipsing Pat Quinn's 1992-93 campaign. On June 14, 2007, Vigneault won the Jack Adams Trophy for Coach of the Year, with Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff finishing as the runner-up. He had been given the nod before in 2000 with Montreal, as a runner-up to Joel Quenneville.

He resides with his wife and two daughters in Gatineau (Hull), Quebec during the offseason.
