The Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC), formerly Arthur Andersen Community Learning Center, is a 6th-12th grade charter school located in Alameda, CA, sharing a campus with Encinal High School. It describes itself as an educational model that empowers all youth to take ownership of their educational experience, to celebrate their diverse community, and to actively participate as members in a democratic society. It now focuses more on being a democratic society where students can decide what they want. ACLC's student population is representative of the general population of Alameda, CA. Enrollment in the ACLC occurs according to a district run lottery system due to a high demand and relatively low student spots available.[1]
