Howard, Alan (b Chicago, 7 Aug. 1930). US dancer and teacher. He studied with E. McRae and in 1949 joined Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo where he remained until 1960, becoming premier danseur. He also danced with the Slavenska Ballet, New York City Ballet, and Radio City Music Hall. He founded the Pacific Ballet Academy in San Francisco which produced the Pacific Ballet and has choreographed several works for the company. He has been guest teacher with various companies and institutions.
