Biography
Known to many for his role as Eli Levinson on the popular series L.A. Law, Alan Rosenberg began his career by studying his craft at the Yale School of Drama. He would eventually wrack up an impressive resumé over the course of his career, with roles in everything from Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ to Cybill Shephard's sitcom Cybill, though he gained particular recognition for a recurring role on the medical drama Chicago Hope, as well as for an Emmy-winning appearance on ER. In 2005, Rosenberg was elected president of the Screen Actors Guild, replacing Melissa Gilbert, who'd served as Guild president for the previous four years. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
