The Royal Brunei Air Force Alap-Alap Formation display team was formed on the 7 February 2011.
The Alap-Alap Formation display team uses the Pilatus PC-7MKII turboprop aircraft, an aircraft purchased from Switzerland in 1997.
Currently the Royal Brunei Air Force (TUDB) have a total of four PC-7MKII aircraft. The aircraft are under the management of No 63 Squadron TUDB, the training wing squadron located at the Rimba Air Force Base.
The display team currently consists of 3 Pilots. 1 Local Royal Brunei Air Force pilot and 2 RAF Pilots. All are qualified flying instructors.
Alap-alap formation have displayed during the RBAF’s 50th Anniversary and continue frequent training and are the first team in Brunei to carry out formation aerobatics at low level altitudes of 500ft.
