Alaska Communications Systems Group (ACS Group) keeps customers in the largest US state connected. Through its subsidiaries, the facilities-based telecommunications carrier operates the leading local-exchange network in the state and provides wired local and long-distance voice services. It markets dial-up and DSL Internet access and wireless communications services under the "ACS" brand to retail, enterprise, and wholesale customers. Additional offerings include interexchange long-distance and Internet phone services. ACS Group has about 250,000 traditional phone access lines in service and about 150,000 wireless subscribers. The company makes sales to consumers in part through 15 retail stores and kiosks.

Alaska Communications Systems, (or ACS) is a telecommunications corporation, headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. It was the first telecommunications provider in the state of Alaska to maintain a third-generation wireless network and the only provider in Alaska that owns fully incorporated infrastructure for the major telecommunications platforms; local phone service, long distance phone service, Internet networking, and wireless communications. In addition to these services, ACS provides satellite television services through a partnership with DISH Network and dial-up internet access.
