Rather than touting their love for the Big Apple, students at this school "heart" medicine. Located in New York's capital city, Albany College of Pharmacy offers a half dozen degree programs with an emphasis in health care, including pharmacy, pre-med, and biomedical technology. The school also provides a home for the Pharmaceutical Research Institute, a not-for-profit drug discovery and development facility. Albany College of Pharmacy has an enrollment of more than 1,200 students and was founded in 1881.

Albany College of Pharmacy is a pharmaceutical college in Albany, New York, United States. It was founded in 1881 as the Department of Pharmacy of Union University. Presently, it is one of the only independent schools of pharmacy in the United States.

Along with Albany Law School, Albany Medical College, the Dudley Observatory, the Graduate College of Union University, and Union College, it is one of the constituent entities of Union University.

Currently, the campus consists of two residence halls, three class buildings with 4 lecture halls, dozens of classrooms, several laboratories, and an independent research facility. As of January 31, 2007, Albany College of Pharmacy announced the opening of a new residence hall for those students in their professional years (3rd through 6th). The new residence will be located in the former Dept. of Transportation building, and be known as "Holland Suites."
