Albazar (Rossini: Il turco in Italia). Tenor. A young Turk who has saved Zaida from the death sentence imposed on her by her fiancé, Prince Selim, and taken her to Naples. She and Selim are reunited and leave Italy to return to Turkey. Created (1814) by Gaetano Pozzi.
