(b Birmingham, 9 Aug 1875; d Cowes, 26 Nov 1959). English composer. He appeared as a solo pianist and conducted internationally. He was a popular composer of light orchestral pieces (In a Monastery Garden, 1915; In a Persian Market, 1920).
