Albert Lee is one of the driving forces in contemporary country music, with his legendary performances on guitar in classic country and rockabilly styles. This program is part one of a two-part series in which the guitar virtuoso discusses guitar history and styles. Lee demonstrates his own techniques and traces the history of the genre. He pays homage to some of the guitar greats who influenced his own music, including Chet Atkins, Hank Garland, Grady Martin, and Vince Gill. There are archival clips from appearances by Lee, in which he thrills the crowd with numbers including "Country Boy," "Tear Stained Letter," and "Tear It Up." ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, Rovi
