Highway 21 is a major south-north highway in the province of Alberta, Canada. It begins at the Trans-Canada Highway 10 km east of Strathmore, (62 km east of downtown Calgary) and goes north to its terminus at Fort Saskatchewan, (north-east of Edmonton.) The highway is considered an alternate route to the Queen Elizabeth II Highway (QE2), in the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor, between the major centres of Calgary and Edmonton.

Between the junction with Highway 1 and Highway 15, it runs for a total of 328 km. At the northern end, in Fort Saskatchewan, Highway 21 is continued westwards by Highway 15 towards Edmonton and Highway 37 towards Onoway, and eastwards by Highway 15 towards Lamont.

At present the only section of the highway twinned is a 15 km piece running from its junction with the Yellowhead Highway at Sherwood Park to its endpoint in Fort Saskatchewan. Construction is underway to continue the twinning from the Yellowhead, south past Baseline Road and Wye Road (Highway 630), up to the Whitemud Extension (Highway 628)[1].

Highway 21 is considered a Bible Belt with 3 Bible Colleges and 3 large Christian Academies along its 300 km route. These are from south to north Prairie Bible College and Prairie Christian Academy (Three Hills), the Cornerstone Christian Academy, Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute and Gardner College (Camrose), and Strathcona Christian Academy (Sherwood Park). In addition, several other Christian colleges are less than 65 kilometers west of Highway 21 along the QE2 corridor: Alberta Bible College, Ambrose University College, Rocky Mountain College and St. Mary's University College of Calgary; the Canadian University College of Lacombe and in Edmonton - The King's University College, Concordia University College of Alberta, Taylor Seminary and Vanguard College. A short distance east of Highway 21, the village of Rosebud hosts the Rosebud School of the Arts, a Christian guild for music, drama and dance, and in Drumheller, the Canadian Badlands Passion Play is held annually in the month of July.
