Albert Anthony Lopez (born on August 18, 1971 in Mesa, Arizona) is a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He graduated from Mesa Community College. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 20th round of the 1991 amateur draft. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the second round (48th pick overall) of the expansion draft in 1997. The Devil Rays traded López to the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001, where he was part of the world series winning team. He was criticized for his poor performance on the team, which lead him to sign with the Atlanta Braves at the end of that season. He then signed with the Kansas City Royals for the 2003 season. He then signed a minor league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2005. He was later released by the Pirates.

He has a 47-58 career record with a 4.94 ERA. He was an Eastern League All-Star, which is the Indians' Double A affiliate in 1993.
