Plot

Alcoholism affects people from all walks of life, whether they be wealthy or impoverished, well-educated or illiterate. In Alcohol Addiction, a group composed of alcoholics, recovered alcoholics, researchers, physicians, and psychiatrists addresses the problems associated with alcohol abuse. They examine research on alcoholism studies at Rutgers University, and discuss the nature of the addiction. Experiments using lab rats offer proof that alcohol affects normal brain activity and the medical consensus is to regard alcoholism as a true biochemical disease.
