Early Career

At the age of 16, Alessandra took home the coveted acting award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Azucena at the FAMAS Awards.

She was once overshadowed by the showbiz success of her older sister, Assunta. However, her genuine ability to act allowed her to eventually outshine the former. Her career took off after exceptional portrayals in different drama films including the critically acclaimed Mga Munting Tinig (Small Voices) and Homecoming, where she portrayed a Canadian-based domestic worker who visited her home in a rural town in the Philippines, bringing with her the deadly disease SARS which she spreads among the residents.

As Valentina

Alessandra won the part of Valentina[1], the villainess of the popular comic turned fantaserye (fantasy TV series), Darna, which aired on GMA network in 2005. The show fared exceptionally well in the ratings, earning her additional attention for her show stealing performance.

An International Actress

Alessandra starred in the Singaporean-based horror film The Maid[2] where she played the lead role of Rosa, a housemaid in Singapore. The film was a box office hit both locally and in neighbouring Asian countries.

Back to ABS-CBN

She moved back to ABS-CBN for special role for I Love Betty La Fea.[3]

Her biggest break after she transferred back to ABS-CBN was joing the cast of Tayong Dalawa, where she played her first major role in Kapamilya teleserye as Greta, the love interest of Ramon, played by Coco Martin and is one of the highlights of the storyline.[4]

She is also often invited to be a talent scout in Talentadong Pinoy in TV 5.[5]

She is active in the advocacy of Tik Tok Pilipinas for Global Warming & Environmental concerns. Lately there have been rumors that she is going back to GMA Network due to lack of appearance in in ABS-CBN and she have been often guested in GMA Networks shows but she said that she will remain a Kapamilya. She is also working her her debut album titled Keep Distance. She did a collaboration with Carlos Castano for the song Colorful.
