Aleuadae, one of the leading aristocratic families of Thessaly (the other was the Scopadae; see SIMONIDES). They sided with Persia and conspired with Xerxes during the Persian Wars, and vigorously opposed the tyrants of Pherae (see JASON and ALEXANDER (1)).
