Alexander(2)

Alexander (3rd century), one of a group of Roman martyrs, later called the Seven Brothers. He was buried in the Jordani cemetery on the Salarian Way; his name was added to the Roman Canon by Symmachus (early 6th century). The Acts of these saints were inspired by the Book of Maccabees, who were early venerated at Rome. Feast (with Felicity): 10 July.
