Alexeyevsky District (Russian: Алексе́евский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Belgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Alexeyevsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,765 square kilometers (681 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Alexeyevka (which is not administratively a part of the district).[2] Population: 24,424 (2010 Census preliminary results);[5] 27,493 (2002 Census);[9] 45,304 (1989 Census).[10]
The town of Alexeyevka serves as the administrative center of the district, although it is not administratively a part of it.[2] Administratively, it is incorporated separately as a town of oblast significance.[1] Municipally, however, Alexeyevka is incorporated within Alexeyevsky Municipal District as Alexeyevka Urban Settlement.[4]
