Perceval Graves

(b Dublin, 1846; d Harlech, 1931). Irish poet, folksong collector, and school inspector. Collab. with Stanford in publication of Irish folksongs, many of which he collected, incl. the Co. Kerry tune for which he wrote the words Father O' Flynn. Provided first two sets of words for tune Londonderry Air. Father of poet Robert Graves.
