Plot

Famed pianist Kim Stanger (John Forsythe) returns to his home town after a four-year absence, acting upon a premonition that something terrible has happened. Upon his arrival, Kim is disturbed by the mysterious and secretive behavior of his friends and family members. Insisting upon seeing his father, from whom he has been long estranged, Kim is eventually informed of the old man's violent death.
