Alfred Walter von Heymel

Heymel, Alfred Walter von (Dresden, 1878-1914, Berlin), a man of means, and a connoisseur of art, was a co-founder with O. J. Bierbaum and R. A. Schröder of the monthly Die Insel. He published several volumes of poetry, among them In der Frühe (1898) and Zeiten (1907). He was ennobled in 1907.
