The Algerian Basketball Championship, now called Algerian Super Division, formally known National 1A, is the pre-eminent men's basketball league in Algeria.

The basketball began before independance of Algéria,there was a regional leagues led by the French federation. After independance of Algéria in 1962, start the Algerian basketball championship in the same year.
