Alasdair Mackie "Algy" Ward (born 7 July 1959, in Croydon, Surrey) is an English rock and roll bass guitarist and singer.^[1]

Biography

He was first active as a member of the Australian punk band The Saints (playing on their second and third albums Eternally Yours and Prehistoric Sounds) before joining British group The Damned and playing on Machine Gun Etiquette (1979). He also plays on Live at the Moonlight Club (The School Bullies).

Ward founded and fronted the seminal New Wave of British Heavy Metal outfit Tank until he retired in 2010...

Algy and his less-famous brother Iain (a roadie with Motörhead, The Undertones and The Ramones for years) both now live in Kent.
