Ali Nikzad (Persian: علی نیکزاد, born 22 September 1954) is an Iranian politician and academic and the current Minister of Transportation and Housing. He was Minister of Housing and Urban Development from August 2009 to June 2011. He was also Acting Minister of Roads and Transportation from February to June 2011.[1] As Minister of Housing, He replacing with Mohammad Saeedi Kia after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was reelected.[2] On 7 February 2011, Nikzad was appointed by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Acting Minister of Roads and Transportation to succeed former dismissed Minister Hamid Behbahani. From 2005 to 2009, He was Governor of Ardabil Province.
