After the disappointing reception to their debut (the songs were fine, but Rick Rubin's production was much too thin), Tamworth, England's Wolfsbane decided to sort out their studio sound by recording a quick EP. With the muscular production of Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots), 1990's All Hell's Breaking Loose Down at Little Kathy Wilson's Place finally captured the fury of the band's live performances and translated them to celluloid. The full-fledged heavy metal of "Steel" leads into "Paint the Town Red" and "Loco," both of which feature memorable choruses and blistering solos from guitarist Jase Edwards. "Hey Babe" is a rather pointless ballad, but "Totally Nude" benefits from some great harmony vocals, and the band closes things out in style with the scorching guitar riff and hilarious '50s sci-fi thriller lyrics of "Kathy Wilson." ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
