All My Life (In the Ghetto) is the first single by American West Coast rapper Jay Rock off his Follow Me Home album. The song was released under Warner Bros. Records. It was produced by Cool & Dre and features Lil Wayne and will.i.am.[1] The song was recorded by Pardraic Kerin and mixed by Dylan "3-D" Dresdow.

Background

The song originally leaked featuring a different chorus sung by Kendrick Lamar and Dre (of production team Cool & Dre). The song came about after Lil Wayne listened to one of Jay Rock's mixtapes.[2]

Music video

The music Video was filmed in Watts, Los Angeles. The music video features Jay Rock either walking around in the Ghetto or on a billboard with Lil Wayne. will.i.am is not in the video.

Remixes

The official remix was released February 18, 2010 and featured The Game, Gorilla Zoe and Busta Rhymes.[3] A West Coast Mega Remix begins with a new verse by Jay Rock followed by guest verses in the following order: Eastwood, Omar Cruz, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Glasses Malone, Crooked I, Nipsey Hussle, Sinful, Ya Boy, Roccett, Terry Kennedy, Problem, Keno, Spider Loc, 211, Bangloose, Mistah FAB, & Roscoe Umali (K.Dot is listed but does not actually appear).[4] Nipsey Hussle freestyled on the beat for his mixtape Bullets Ain't Got No Name, Vol. 3. Wiz Khalifa freestyled on the beat for his Burn After Rolling mixtape.
