The song reached number two on the Billboard[1] Alternative Songs chart and number four on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] In Canada, it peaked at #2 on the RPM singles chart[2] and was featured on the compilation album, Big Shiny Tunes 4.
In addition to Mystery Men, it was included in the opening credits to the film Shrek[3] (where it was originally scratch music), and Smash Mouth performing the song closes out the film Rat Race.[3] The song was also featured in the soundtrack to Digimon: The Movie, Go Tigers![3], and Inspector Gadget.[3]
