This album is filled with all the things Ray Boltz's fans have come to expect from him: a pop sound, a good ballad, sincerity occasionally blended with sentimentality. It's proven to be a winning combination in the past and this album is no exception. "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb" is the most "typical" Boltz song on the album, a gospel chorus-backed number meant to tug on the listener's heart. The three-song set of "Set Sail," "Storm," and "The Anchor Holds" shows the Christian life as a journey, again done with Boltz's trademark lyrics -- not terribly creative, but they keep the message clear, and that's what his music is all about. ~ Melinda Hill, Rovi
