Allen Thomas Craig (born July 18, 1984 in Mission Viejo, California) is a Major League Baseball outfielder and first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals.[1]

Allen Craig attended Chaparral High School in Temecula, California where he played Varsity baseball and basketball. .[2]
Craig went to the University of California, Berkeley, and played for the California Golden Bears baseball team.[3]
Craig was drafted by the Cardinals in the 8th round of the 2006 draft. Craig showed power at all levels of the Cardinal farm system, hitting 76 home runs in 3½ seasons in the minors. He made the Cardinals big-league club in 2010, and appeared in his first MLB game on April 8, 2010. Craig hit his first home run on July 19, 2010 off of the Philadelphia Phillies Kyle Kendrick.
With his 2-out go-ahead pinch-single in Game 1 of the 2011 World Series, Allen Craig became the 1st player with 2 go-ahead RBI as a pinch-hitter in World Series play. After hitting a home run earlier in the game, Craig caught the last out of the 2011 World Series, the 11th World Series championship for the St. Louis Cardinals.
After beginning the season on the disabled list, Craig was activated on May 1, 2012, and made his season debut that day. Erik Komatsu was designated for assignment to make room.[4]
Allen Craig married his long-time girlfriend, Marie LaMarca on November 12, 2011. Their pet tortoise, Torty, has served as an informal mascot for the Cardinals[5] after a fake Twitter account was created for Torty.[6]
