The Alliance of Women Film Journalists (AWFJ) is a group of female journalists based out of New York, United States that was founded in 2006. The AWFJ is composed of 45 professional female movie critics, reporters and feature writers working in print, broadcast and online media, dedicated to supporting work by and about women - both in front of and behind the cameras.[1] The group annually gives awards to the best in film as voted on by its members.
