Poker Guide:

Alligator Blood

Refers to a player who can keep their cool when holding short stack, not allowing themselves to go on tilt.

SoundPoker Says: When a player has a short stack at a table they are under considerable pressure and disadvantage. They do not have as many options with which to make plays, and they can be bullied around the table by players with larger stacks. Someone who can keep their cool and not let this position rattle them has a good chance at getting back into the game, as they can play smart and tight while looking for a chance to increase their stack.
