Harvard grew up in Houston, Texas,[3] and currently resides in Brooklyn.[4] Her artwork is featured in the novel The Story Told at Night by Lisa Kuznetsova.[5]
In late 2005, Harvard gained notoriety as an internet meme on 4chan, where she became known as Creepy Chan.[6]
Harvard successfully auditioned for Cycle 12 of America's Next Top Model. During the audition process, Harvard stated that she thought nose bleeds were pretty,[7] and that she is fascinated by blood.[8]
She was called first by Tyra Banks four times, in episodes two, ten, twelve and thirteen (the first part of the finale).[9] Harvard was in the bottom two, twice. In episode four, she landed in the bottom two with contestant Nijah Harris because she was said to have over-analyzed her shoot.[10] In episode six, she landed in the bottom two with contestant Tahlia Brookins because of her lackluster commercial and her one dimensional look, leading the judges to question her versatility.[11]
During the finale episode of America's Next Top Model, Harvard gave a convincing Covergirl commercial and was hailed for her improvement from the previous commercial.[12] In the final runway walk, Harvard was deemed the most improved, despite being deemed the worst walker out of the bunch at the beginning of the competition. Despite her improvements and strong look, Harvard lost the competition to Teyona Anderson, making Harvard the runner up.
Harvard was the runner-up in the seventeenth cycle of America's Next Top Model, the first All-Star edition of the show. She placed the same as her original cycle.[13] She also appeared on Extra (TV series), her prize for winning the Extra Challenge.
Allison was signed with Nous Model Management in Los Angeles. Since America's Next Top Model, Harvard has modeled for karmaloop.com, and a spread in ONE Magazine.[14] She has made an internet video with fourfour entitled "Fake Blood"[15] and an "interview" with Cat Winston.[16] She also had an appearance on Extra. She has also modeled for Gemma Kahng, Chromat, Malan Breton and Richie Rich.
Allison walked in the 2012 New York Fashion Week for Gemma Kahng and Malan Breton. Harvard tweeted she will be walking in three shows for New York Fashion Week.
