Alois L?cherer

(b Munich, 14 Aug 1815; d Munich, 15 July 1862). German photographer. He studied chemistry and pharmacology in Munich from 1837 before becoming a pharmacist. He learnt to take daguerreotypes in 1840, possibly from the Swiss photographer Johann Baptist Isenring (1796-1860), who travelled through the area.
