(Fried Bananas)

Recipe origin: Côte d'Ivoire

Ingredients

  • 5 bananas
  • Oil

Procedure

  1. Cut the bananas lengthwise, then into little pieces.
  2. Pour about 4 inches of oil into a saucepan and heat until boiling.
  3. Place ½ of the sliced bananas into the oil.
  4. Fry both sides until reddish-brown, then very carefully remove.
  5. Fry the other ½, then remove.
  6. Serve immediately alone, or with grilled fish.

Serves 4 to 6.
