Alvingham is a village that lies on a small back road leading east out of Louth, Lincolnshire, England called, unsurprisingly, Alvingham Road.
The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and was the location of a Gilbertine Priory until the dissolution of the monasteries. Notably, the village has two churches in the same churchyard, one dedicated to St. Mary, the other the only church in England to be dedicated to St. Adelwold.
