Amanda Crew (born June 5, 1986) is a Canadian film and television actress.
Crew began her acting career by training in tap, hip-hop and jazz dancing. She began acting in the fourth grade when she landed a lead role in a musical called Dragon Tales. Three agents contacted her, and she has been acting ever since. When she first began her acting career, she did a Coca-Cola commercial and acted in stage plays like Stalling, Cordstons Courts, and Langley, the Musical. She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2003 with sessions at Tarlington Training and the Arousal Theatre School.[1]
Crew got her big break in at age 18 when she landed the role as Tanis McTaggart on the YTV teen dramedy series 15/Love. After leaving the show in 2005, she guest starred on the television series Life As We Know It and Smallville, and starred as Carrie Miller on the CTV drama series Whistler. She also had supporting roles in the films Final Destination 3, She's the Man, Sex Drive, The Haunting in Connecticut[2], The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud and Breaking the Girl.[3]
