Amastigomonas is a genus of Apusozoa.[1]

This genus has been divided into five different genera including Podomonas, Manchomonas, and Multimonas.[2]

Several species have been described including:

  • Amastigomonas borokensis, Amastigomonas caudata, Amastigomonas debruynei
  • Podomonas magna, Podomonas capensis
  • Multimonas media
  • Thecamonas oxoniensis, Thecamonas trahens

The genera Apusomonas and Manchomonas appear to be closely related but the branching order of the other genera has yet to be established.
