Review

Those expecting something new from Thunderball's predilection for Bristol beats, urban IDM, and the Day-Glo sexuality of '60s spy films will be disappointed to discover that it's all rather underwhelming. Their debut is saddled with louche self-importance despite an engaging assortment of source material and a discreet string of guest vocalists. What's worse, things pick up midway with some frosty drum'n'bass and Radioactive Man-tailored breaks, but Thunderball put it together with style and little class, and your mind constantly wanders thinking of a thousand similar records by better, more unusual minds. ~ Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
