Plot

Andrew Carnegie is still regarded as one of America's most respected businessman. He made most of his fortune while working in the steel industry. During his lifetime, he set up trusts and made bequeaths that continue to benefit many libraries and educational institutions. During this A&E program, viewers have the opportunity to visit Skibo Castle purchased by Carnegie in 1898. Its lavishly landscaped grounds complement the mansion's elegant interior that still contains some of the family's original furnishings purchased during various travels and given to them as gifts from friends. Famous guests have long stayed at Skibo, including recent stars such as Michael Douglas and Jack Nicholson. ~ Elizabeth Smith, Rovi
