American Advisors Group (AAG) is a lender in the reverse mortgage industry.[1] Founded in 2004, AAG provides government insured HECM (Home Equity Conversion Mortgage) loans and has 81 areas approved for business, covering all 50 states.[2] According to Reverse Market Insight (2011) AAG is ranked among the top reverse mortgage retail originators in the country.[3] American Advisors Group is A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau,[4] is a U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development approved Lender,[2] and a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association.[5]
As of January 2012, AAG is operating in 37 states, covering more than 85% of the U. S. senior population.[2]
Reza Jahangiri is founder and CEO of American Advisors Group. Jahangiri is a board member of CIS (Coalition of Independent Seniors)[6] and has also served as CEO and President of several healthcare services and healthcare companies prior to entering the reverse mortgage business.
