American Association of Individual Investors (AAII)
nonprofit organization, based in Chicago, designed to educate individual investors about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other financial alternatives through seminars, conferences, and publications.
The AAII also evaluates investment-oriented software in a publication called Computerized Investing. The AAII web site ( www.aaii.org ) provides extensive information on the basics of investing, as well as a reference section on a wide variety of topics such as annuities, mutual funds, dividend reinvestment plans and discount brokers. The AAII regularly polls its members for their outlook on the stock market, and the AAII Index of Bullish, Bearish and Neutral Outlook is published weekly in Barron’s under Investor Sentiment Readings.
