American Genesis

Full-length dance pageant with choreography by Taylor, music by Bach, Haydn, Martinů, Gottschalk, and J. Faley. Its New York premiere (after preview performances on tour) was 14 Mar. 1974 by Paul Taylor Dance Company at Brooklyn Academy of Music with C. Adams, de Jong, and Taylor. It portrays the biblical Fall of Man within the context of the American dream.
