Plot

The history of California crime families reads like a farce with failed murder plots and unwavering policemen. A&E highlights the funniest Mafia in the land in American Justice: L.A. Mob. Dubbed the "Mickey Mouse Mob" for its inability to rule the underground, the Los Angeles gangsters tell a story of humiliation, charitable acts, and lucky escapes. Once led by mobster superstar Bugsy Siegel, the Southland scene was inherited by two graceless criminals, Jack Dragna and Mickey Cohen. Despite the seriousness of their intentions, the antics of the two kept newspaper readers in stitches. Failed gambling wars and a murderous starlet fill out the scene. Police tell how they kept the mob under control, while former members share memories of the good old days in this A&E exposé. ~ Sarah Ing, Rovi
