Plot

A&E investigates the story of a drifter out of control in American Justice: Myth of a Serial Killer -- The Henry Lee Lucas Story. Considered the nation's most infamous mass murderer, Lucas lives out his sentence on Texas' Death Row. Having won reprieve after reprieve, Lucas seemingly plays with the courts like he played with his victims. At one point, the homeless killer confessed to over 200 murders. Telling tales of pointless bloodlust and random stabbings in state after state, Lucas presented himself as an unfeeling monster incapable of remorse. After reveling in the attention of being an assured serial killer, Lucas then recanted his confessions saying he was testing the boundaries of law enforcement. Several task forces agreed. A&E proves why the scariest killer ever caught might just be a sadistic liar. ~ Sarah Ing, Rovi
