The American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS) is a non-profit organization of tax professionals in the United States. The primary functions of ASTPS is to provide special training and accreditation to tax and legal professionals. Any tax professional may join ASTPS, but only licensed Certified Public Accountants, Lawyers, or Enrolled Agents may apply for full membership.

ASTPS directs CTRS (Certified Tax Resolution Specialist) examination and certification.

Continuing Professional Education for Tax Professionals

The primary function of ASTPS is educating CPAs, EAs, Accountants, and Tax Preparers on issues in regards to solving tax problems. Seminars and lessons plans are offered, online and live. Non-members may utilize these resources.

Accreditation

  • IRS approval
  • Participant in IRS "Practitioner Liaison" program
  • Registered with NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
