Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) has been known as pioneer in research and innovation in Iran. Many ISI journal papers as well as Conference papers have been published by faculties and researchers of AUT every year.According to the report of ACM Digital Library, AUT has top ranking in journal papers publication and average citations per article by comparison of Technical Universities, not only in the Asia continent but also in the World. Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) was appointed as a Center of Excellence by Iran's Ministry of Science and Technology in the fields of Excellence on Power Systems, Radio Communication of Excellence and Thermo elasticity Center of Excellence.

Supercomputer of AUT

Supercomputer of Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) has a power of 34,000 billion operations per second, and a speed of 40 gigahertz. Ph.D. Students and Researchers of AUT use it for analysis of huge volume of data in their research studies.

Amirkabir Journal of Science and Technologyis a scientific journal which publishes original research achievements of academic and industrial researchers in all engineering and science areas.

Library

The library and document center at AUT, the largest technical and engineering library in Iran's capital, is one of the richest academic libraries in the technical and engineering field in the region. This library includes a central library and 16 satellitic libraries in Tehran and Bandar Abbas.

News

The first conference on Satellites for Sustainable Development, organized by the Radio Communications Center of Excellence of Amirkabir University of Technology, will be held during international space week in October of 2012.

Cientifica reporsts in news item on Nanowerk, April 25,2012 :Iranian scientists are using lecithin to synthesize and bind silver nanoparticles more tightly to wool.
