amorphous

(physics) Pertaining to a solid which is noncrystalline, having neither definite form nor structure.

Unorganized or vague. A lack of structure. For example, the amorphous state of a bit on a rewritable optical disc means that the light from a laser beam will scatter and not be as reflective as a highly structured crystalline bit.
